|
Mr. Stewart’s Cheshire Foxhounds Pony Club, located in Southern Chester County has a rich history of teaching children horsemanship, accountability, generosity, volunteerism and environmental stewardship. It is guided by the mission of the United States Pony Club (USPC) in providing programs that introduce and instruct young people under the age of 21 in riding, mounted sports, such as foxhunting, as well as the care of horses and ponies, all with an eye to developing character, responsibility, “moral judgment, leadership and self-confidence.” Specific instructions are offered in dressage, eventing, show jumping, mounted games, tetrathlon, quiz, vaulting, foxhunting, and polocrosse. During "unmounted" meetings members learn about feeding, shoeing, veterinary care, and other areas of horse management. |
